GHOSTS NEVER SLEEP
Jared Dolan (Tony
Goldwyn) is armed and barricaded in an apartment, holding police at bay.
The unfortunate sequence of events that have led him here flash before his eyes;
pieces of a strange puzzle spanning thirty years.

Unresolved
childhood trauma ferments at the core of "Ghosts Never Sleep."
For Jared, a tragic family past kept secret between him and his unforgiving
mother (Faye Dunaway) has begun to seep to the surface.

A struggling
screenwriter, Jared has penned a dark tale of a father’s physical abuse of
his young son. The story strikes a cord with Melissa (Shea Alexander), a wannabe
film producer who relates to the story because of her own abusive
childhood.

She convinces Jared to sign a deal with her to find a company
to back the movie.

When Jared’s wife
Rebecca (Sean Young) reads her husband’s script, the graphic portrayal of
family violence brings up troubling questions for her about Jared’s past.

But the more she asks
him about the origins of the story, the more he retreats into himself.

When it looks like
Melissa has found a company willing to finance the movie, Jared is elated.
But, frustrated, his wife seeks answers about the dark nature of the
material from Jared’s mother, who now refuses to speak to him.

Mounting guilt and
a souring relationship with the increasingly unstable Melissa send Jared
into a downward spiral. An inevitable chain of events is now set in motion
with deadly consequence. If Jared is to
survive, he must finally face the haunting past he’s tried so hard to
avoid.
